Your visit

Know what comes next.
Take it one step at a time.

From the first introduction to follow-up, here is how to think about beginning care at Timshel.

01

The introduction

15 minutes · Free

Meet Kathie, explain briefly what you are looking for, and ask about fit, services, costs, and scheduling. There is no obligation to book ongoing care.

This is not a diagnostic assessment. Prescriptions and treatment plans are not provided during the free conversation.

Request your introduction

02

The initial visit

60 minutes · $295 private-pay fee

Discuss your concerns, medical and mental health history, previous treatment, current medications, and goals. Kathie uses the assessment to consider appropriate next steps.

Ask about the reasoning behind recommendations, possible alternatives, and the practical details of a plan.

03

Ongoing follow-up

30 minutes · $195 private-pay fee

Review changes, questions, difficulties, and how the plan is working in daily life. Discuss treatment adjustments when clinically appropriate.

Follow-up timing depends on your situation. Ask about likely frequency and cost before deciding to continue.

What to bring to the first visit

You do not need to write a perfect history. A few notes can make it easier to cover what matters to you.

  • Your main concerns.
What has changed, when you noticed it, and how it affects daily life.
  • Medications and supplements.
Names and doses, including what you have tried previously.
  • Relevant health history.
Current conditions, past evaluations, and any pregnancy or postpartum considerations.
  • Your existing care team.
Therapist, primary care clinician, and other specialists involved.
  • Your questions.
Medication concerns, previous experiences, costs, or anything you want explained.
  • Your practical needs.
Work, caregiving, transportation, privacy, and scheduling constraints.

Kathie’s scheduling process will provide any specific intake instructions. Do not send a detailed clinical history through an ordinary website inquiry.

Virtual care in Ohio & Kentucky

Kathie offers virtual appointments for people in Ohio and Kentucky. Confirm eligibility based on where you will be physically located for the appointment, rather than assuming that your home address alone determines it.

For the visit, plan for a private location, a device with a camera and microphone, and a reliable internet connection. Headphones may help you speak more comfortably when other people are nearby.

Virtual care can reduce travel, but it still needs your time and attention. If childcare or household privacy makes that difficult, bring it up when arranging an appointment.

Before the first video appointment

Ask which platform to use, when the link will arrive, what to do if the connection fails, and how to contact the practice about appointment logistics.

Questions between appointments

Before beginning treatment, clarify which contact method to use for routine questions, prescription requests, appointment changes, and urgent concerns. Ask about expected response times and any fees for clinical messaging.

A website inquiry and the introductory conversation are not substitutes for ongoing clinical care. Do not assume that routine messages are monitored continuously or that they can be used for an emergency.

Keeping the communication plan clear is part of knowing what your care includes.

The Cincinnati setting

The bright, welcoming interior at Chasing Cali in Reading, Cincinnati
In-person care

Timshel’s planned in-person setting is at Chasing Cali in Reading, in the Cincinnati metro area. The photographs show the Chasing Cali setting; confirm the availability and location of psychiatric appointments directly before traveling.

Chasing Cali’s wellness services are separate businesses and services. They are optional and are not included in the psychiatric visit fee. Booking psychiatric care does not book a wellness service.

You can ask before you commit

Use the introduction to ask about current availability, appointment format, insurance participation, and what follow-up might look like. If a practical issue would make care difficult, it is better to discuss it early.

You can decide that the timing, cost, or service is not right for you. A useful introduction helps you make an informed choice.
