Meet Kathie Turner
Clinical knowledge.
A human connection.
APRN · PMHNP-BC · FNP-BC
Kind, nonjudgmental, and optimistic, Kathie makes room for an honest conversation about how you are doing—and what might help.
The person behind Timshel
Kathie Turner is the founder and owner of Timshel Integrative Psychiatry. She is an advanced practice registered nurse and a nurse practitioner board-certified in both psychiatric mental health and family practice.
Her approach brings those two perspectives together: attention to psychiatric concerns alongside an interest in physical health, everyday habits, and the context of your life.
Kathie’s warmth is an important part of the experience. She is conversational and positive, with room for uncertainty and difficult topics. You can ask questions, explain what has not worked before, and say when a recommendation does not feel clear.
What you can expect from the conversation
You do not need to present the most organized version of your story. You can begin with what feels hardest or what has changed.
Curiosity about your experience
Your own description matters: what you notice, what life asks of you, and what you hope will feel different.
Clear explanations
There should be room to ask what a recommendation is for, what the alternatives are, and how the next step would work.
Encouragement grounded in reality
A positive outlook can sit alongside serious attention to your concerns. Progress is individual; no particular outcome is promised.

Credentials help you understand a clinician’s training. The introductory conversation helps you learn about her manner and whether the relationship feels like a fit.
A relationship you choose
Choosing a mental health clinician is personal. Clinical fit, communication, logistics, and cost all matter. You are allowed to weigh all of them.
Ask Kathie how she works with a concern like yours, how appointments are structured, and what follow-up could involve. If you are deciding between services, bring those questions too.
The free 15-minute conversation is a chance to meet before choosing a paid initial visit. It is an introduction, rather than an assessment or a commitment to treatment.
